KING LEAR

AUGUST 2017

Blinded by vanity and pride, Lear divides his Kingdom between his two eldest daughters, and banishes the youngest, content to spend his retirement being cared for by his ‘loving’ children. As his authority, kingdom and family fall apart around him, so does his sanity as Lear struggles against everything he once took for granted.

Hailed as Shakespeare’s masterpiece, the Loons took the brutal journey into madness…

A Promenade performance at the famous Alexandra Park in Manchester.
